POLICIES

• We require a 50% deposit on any order at the time the order is placed. Your cake deposit reserves you cake in our schedule. • We will refund payment, less your deposit, through store credit for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to your pick up/delivery date. No refunds will be given on cakes cancelled with 14 days of your pick up/delivery date. Please note: we do not provide refunds in the form of cash or credit/debit card, store credit only. • Your balance is due when you pick up your order. If you choose to have your cake delivered the balance is due 1 week prior to delivery. • We photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion with compensation to you. • Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions. Delivery and Pick Up Policies • We take great pride in our work and are in business solely to provide you excellence in taste and in art. • Delivery charge of $30 inside of Thomasville. Mileage is calculated $.55 per mile round trip outside of Thomasville. Please notify us if road leading to destination is rough, so we can take necessary precautions. Marie’s Kakes will not be responsible for damaged cakes due to rough roads. • We are not responsible for any damage to the cake once it leaves Marie’s Kakes. If you, or your designated party, elect to pick up, you assume the liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Marie’s Kakes. Once an item is picked up by you or your designated party and leaves our possession. It is considered accepted. • The client is responsible for proving an appropriate size, level and stable table with a cool and safe environment for the cake(s). We are NOT responsible for damage resulting from tables that are not level, weak, too small, or placed in a warm area. Please keep in mind that there can be wind, rain, temperature, pets, bugs, or other situations, especially for outdoor events. We are not responsible for any damage to cake(s) after it leaves our possession. • If you have someone else pick up your order they are responsible for making sure that the order is to your satisfaction before leaving Marie’s Kakes. • Once a cake is delivered to you or your designated party, or picked up by you or designated party, it is considered accepted. Refunds requested will not be honored. • While my cakes are structurally sound under reasonable conditions, they are still cake and will not survive crazy driving. I highly recommend placing the cake on a flat surface, NOT your lap or car seat. No quick accelerations, abrupt stops or hasty turns. • Pick up times are scheduled in advance and must be adhered to. A late fee of $20 per hour will be imposed if you do not show up during the agreed upon window of time. I value your time, please value mine. Miscellaneous Disclaimers • Please note colors of actual cake may vary slightly due to color differences in computer screens. If you need an exact match, please provide me with a physical color sample. • In the event that you are requesting a copy of a specific design from another decorator, please understand that her may be some differences due to size, tools and techniques used on the original cake. I strive to make a cake that is unique for you and reserve the right to make changes as I see appropriate. Refunds I will do everything I can to make a cake that exceeds your expectations. If you are not happy with your cake and would like a refund, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, I will be unable to refund any portion of your payment.
